Homework 2:  Bring in a 100 word proposal of what your final paper will be over.  Typed and physically turned in.

Day 32

Who has the right to write about the tragic events?

• Group 1: Only those who were actively involved or who saw it first hand.
• Group 2: Only those who were actively involved, saw it first hand, or were directly or indirectly affected by it.
• Group 3: Anyone so long as they have a good intent and research it thoroughly.
• Group 4: Anyone can write about anything for any reason.

What to do:

• Write a good thesis
• What + Why
• What do you think and why do you think that?
•  Outline 3 supporting paragraphs
• Point: Example + Explanation in one sentence.  A mini-thesis to prepare the reader what to expect in the paragraph
• Example: A specific example that supports your thesis.  And example of an event that was written about and how it turned out.
• Explanation:  Explain why your example supports your thesis and adds to your argument.
• Outline 1 counterargument  
• Pick another group and outline one paragraph that proves why another group is wrong.
